Nashville Hosts Latin Writer Summit |

In May, UMPG Nashville welcomed writers from UMPG’s Latin roster for an intensive week of songwriting that participants referred to as “SALSA WITH A TWANG.” The event featured Nashville writers Mark D. Sanders, Kostas, Rivers Rutherford, Stephanie Bentley, Gordon Kennedy, Angelo, Troy Verges, Monty Powell, Danny Orton, Mark Wright and Al Sostrin. The Miami team, led by UMPG Miami’s IVAN ALVAREZ, included multi-platinum artist Soraya, Grammy nominated songwriter Rodolfo Castillo, Pablo Manavello, BMG’s former A&R Director-Latin Division, Alejandro Lerner, ASCAP’s Most Successful Latin Composer of 1997, and Nicolle Chirino.
