"When I Get Where I'm Going" #1 Song! |
 |
Tuesday, April 4, was a beautiful day in the neighborhood as Music Row gathered for a joint number one party thrown by ASCAP and BMI to honor songwriters George Teren and UMPG's Rivers Rutherford. The two friends, who have had a standing weekly writing appointment for the past ten years, tackled the topic of human mortality and composed a song straight from the heart, resulting in their third number one single together. The song, "When I Get Where I'm Going," was recorded by one of country's brightest stars, Brad Paisley, and featured the harmonies of icon Dolly Parton.
