UMPG Nashville wins 15 ASCAP Awards including SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR! |

UMPG Nashville brought home numerous awards at this year’s ASCAP awards. UMPG songwriter Rivers Rutherford was honored with the prestigious Songwriter of the Year award. Rivers claimed four ASCAP awards for “When I Get Where I’m Going” (Brad Paisley), “She Don’t Tell Me To” (Montgomery Gentry), “Living In Fast Forward” (Kenny Chesney) and “Homewrecker” (Gretchen Wilson). Other songs/songwriters who took home ASCAP awards include; Bonnie Baker “My Sister” (Reba McEntire), Radney Foster “A Real Fine Place To Start” (Sara Evans), Jeremy Spillman “Arlington” (Trace Adkins) and “He Oughta Know That By Now” (Lee Ann Womack), John Kennedy “Probably Wouldn’t Be This Way” (LeAnn Rimes), Monty Powell “Miss Me Baby” (Chris Cagle) and “Tonight I Wanna Cry” (Keith Urban), Jon Bon Jovi “Who Says You Can’t Go Home” (Bon Jovi w/ Jennifer Nettles), Tony Mullins “Nobody Gonna Tell Me What To Do” (Van Zant), Steve Robson “What Hurts The Most” (Rascal Flatts).
