UMPG Nashville Announces Promotions And Additions To Nashville Staff
Kent Earls, formerly Senior Creative Director at Universal Music Publishing Nashville, is elevated to a position of Vice President of the Creative Department. A five plus year veteran of MCA/Universal, Earls has established himself as one of Nashville’s best “songpluggers.” He has been instrumental in nurturing the careers of several writers on the UMPG roster including Rivers Rutherford and Danny Orton. In his new position Kent will be responsible overseeing the activities of the creative staff as well as exploiting the company’s song catalogue.
Jennifer Carrington joins the UMPG staff as a Creative Assistant. She was formerly employed at Acuff-Rose Music Publishing where she held the position of Film/Television Licensing Assistant. In her new position she will work to facilitate the efforts of the company’s creative directors and its writers.
Cory Gierman joins the Universal Music Publishing staff as a Creative Director. Gierman formerly served in a similar capacity at Broadvision Music before founding his own independent songplugging firm, Lucky Thumb Music. His responsibilities will include serving as a product manager for several of the company’s writers as well as exploitation of the song catalogue.
